Red Heart—-a stunning one of a kind 3-piece set—was created by Three Fires Nation Odawa (Canada) Sharon Trudeau. The set contains an eagle feather and turtle design worked in 11º Delica beads using crimson, satin white, black and silver-lined clear, with white and black bugle beads in the fringe. The fringed necklace pendant measures 3″ wide x 4-1/2″ long and comes with a 19″ long chain beaded to match. The chain contains squares of onyx and roundels as well as beads; it fastens with a lobster claw clasp. The matching 1″ wide bracelet also contains onyx beads. It will fit a 5-3/4″ to 7″ wrist and fastens with a lobster claw clasp. The earrings measure 5-3/8″ long from the tops of the sterling fish hook wires. Sharon is better known by her Odawa name Waawaaskonenhens. She was born to the Three Fires Odawa Nation in Canada, part of the Wikwemikong unceded Reserve---a place
known world-wide for beautiful artwork. At an early age, Sharon began creating works of art using pencils, pen, charcoal, pastel and paints. Mid-way through life, Sharon chose
to put down her pencils and brushes and pick up a beading needle. Today she creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces combining traditional designs and materials with a contemporary feel.
A member of the IACA, Sharon is an award-winning, juried artist whose pieces incorporate bone, horn, shell, deerskin, stones and other natural materials.
