“Dreams of Horses.” A one of a kind plains style tobacco bag made by Navajo Jay C. McCray using 13º cut beads on commercially tanned deerskin. The leather bag measures about 13-3/4″ long x 4″ wide. The lane or lazy stitch style beaded panel measures about 4″ wide x 4-5/8″ high. The pouch is hand dyed using natural mineral staining techniques and decorated with roundel beads, ribbons, yellow horsehair tassels, tin cones, miniature bells and shell disks. The bag is beaded on one side only. It was designed to honor the sacred qualities of the horse celebrated in many Native American communities. Sorry, no gift wrap is available for this item.
